Discover the soulful Japanese art of Kintsugi (金継ぎ) in Japanese means “golden repair” or
“golden joinery.” It is the beautiful art of restoring broken pottery using lacquer mixed with
powdered gold, silver or platinum. Instead of hiding cracks, Kintsugi highlights them, honouring
the object’s journey and often making it even more precious than before.
Beyond a technique, Kintsugi is a philosophy.
It teaches us to embrace flaws, breakage and change are all part of life.
